Liability Adjusters & Specialists – Amelia

The Midland Company and its A+ rated property & casualty insurance subsidiary, American Modern Insurance Group, are looking for Liability Adjusters and Specialists to join our award-winning Claims Department. We are a proven provider of specialty insurance products and services, headquartered east of Cincinnati, Ohio.The Liability Adjuster/Specialist will be responsible for the investigation and resolution of non litigated third party bodily injury and property damage claims arising from multiple specialty property and casualty products. This position will also be responsible for first party med pay and PIP claims, and will be housed in our campus located in Amelia, OH. Candidates must possess the ability to analyze coverage, facts, liability and damages and make appropriate adjusting decisions based on contractual terms, relevant statutes and case law, and good claims practice. Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking/problem solving skills, customer service and solid written/verbal communication skills are required.Three years of personal and/or commercial claims handling experience is required, with at least one year focused on bodily injury claim handling to qualify for adjuster position. 5-7+ years of experience is required for Specialist position, with 3+ years of bodily injury claims handling position. A Bachelors degree or equivalent claims experience is required. AIC, CPCU, AEI, or other industry approved coursework is preferred.Our Company is poised for continued growth and profitability.
